are you from Western PA, would just like to work in that area? Could always get a gig hauling coal, not exactly sure on the rates, but there’s job security under the current administration.
What if it Snows?

You near West Virginia? Craigslist oil field. Or Indeed. Apply for walmart if you can qualify thats 100k+. Post office they do tractor trailers. That's low pay but, pension amd lots of time off. Like 50 to 80k but hours are low. Air gas? Air Liquide, same company. That's local too, unless you go otr. Might be union as well. Get paid OT after 40 hours. Messer os another cryo company less pay 85k instead of 100k at air gas. Otr air gas is 110 to 125k solo.
I would go around construction companies and ask.IH9300SBA, exhausted379, austinmike and 8 others Thank this. -
Yes right by Pitt intl, so close when windows are open I have a free alarm clock about 4-4:30am. lol. I was thinking something with oil well crap. Didn’t think about coal hauling.IH9300SBA, austinmike, Dale thompson and 8 others Thank this.

Yep right by the pan handle. Ergon trucking is about an hour or so away. I check cl here and there, but nothing really worthwhile. Lotta 1099 crap I’m not doing that or fleece purchase nothing that either. Gotta get haz for some you suggested I looked into them. Studying manual when I’m not tired. I mean when I’ll actually retain some of it. And doing like @Opus suggested taking tests on here. Gonna check with construction companies I guess. Just don’t want crap equipment or pay.austinmike, Dale thompson, broke down plumber and 5 others Thank this.

Yep. Take the tests every day as many times as you want. When you get to the point where you can ace them every time, you're readyIH9300SBA, exhausted379, JolliRoger and 7 others Thank this.

The mill where I first encountered this, had 2 of those tippers. Day cab, sleeper truck, didn’t matter. I did see a few go up with driver in the seat. That had to be like 20 years go, willing to bet they don’t anymore.FullMetalJacket, IH9300SBA, austinmike and 8 others Thank this.

Mack was really pretty innovative at one point. And they were the best off road truck. I think they would have done better in the otr segment if the big bore six they developed would have had more corp support. The torque curve on a Mack was so much broader than car or Cummins that a 237 or a 300 competed well with larger engines. But much like today people wanted big horse power and big displacement.
And Mack was sorta if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.IH9300SBA, exhausted379, austinmike and 12 others Thank this.
