Definitely a No at the mills I delivered too. That and shut your engine off for obvious reasons. Been on some real sketchy lifts over the years. Cram that chip truck on a ramp.

Kinda leaning towards home every weekend or daily. Getting tired of all the time not paid waiting. And bs. If I’m not getting paid might as well do it at home. Plus better healthier food options. Oh most important parts I know who and what used my toilet and that it’s clean. Same with my shower.

Otr with a decent tank outfit is night and day difference than otr with western express. Most tank jobs are out and back. At least chemical tanks. Don’t know about food grade or dry bulk

I would just take a bunch of online free tests. That's what I did. There are like a 80 to 120 questions that they use. Indiana dmv random generates off that list. Longest part is waiting for finger prints.

    Edit:
Look at indeed. Cdl a and your area. Visit a dmv and ask about what you need to do to get the hazmat.

So, in this morning’s Fright-liner soap opera, they “diagnosed” the truck yesterday at about 5. Found the air leak, “oh we don’t have that particular line in stock. Ok, not like there are many Coronados around right? So get it in!!! “Fine, we will have it fixed in about 3 days. Also, we noticed an oil leak, that will have to be fixed before we can release the truck.” Oh, I don’t think so!!! I saw the leak yesterday while I was rolling around under it, and it’s a damp spot you can cover with one hand, it would take a million years to cause an issue. “Well, it has to be fixed before we can release the truck” Baloney. It’s not under warranty. “Well, it could become a safety issue. It will only add $2,500.” Me, has temper tantrum. JUST FIX THE STUPID TRUCK!!!! Ridiculous!!!

Should you pass this test then go to get your endorsement first, or the other way around, or does it matter?

I dont remember. Like can you get your fingers rolled for twic and hazmat? Or do you have to pass the dmv test first? Thats what I'm unsure about. Background check takes the longest. 2 to 12 weeks.

Aleast on indeed in wheeling West Virginia there are jobs. For cdl A.
