    They do have volcanoes nearby. So most likely some tremors.

    Better bet from their colonial age is ground settling. Pretty sure fill and compaction techniques from that era would be considered lacking by current standards.

    @Rocks

    One of the plans for the property is to build an Accessory Dwelling Unit. Old terms for them is "In-Law Quarters" or "Caretaker's House/Cabin". A small place good for no more than 2 people.

    At first, we would be planning to rent it to put money into the retirement fund. But it would also be available in the future for a nurse or other caregiver and would be part of their pay.

    Yup we should have put up more south facing windows. The only one with a table. Goober is on the right with the softer fur.
