Jerry xxxxx was plant engineer/electrician/maintenance man who could do it all at Mid South Packers here in Tupelo.
They were closing an Bryan Bros from West Point bought it up, wanted to keep selected key people till they could merge it's mfg and production.

HR interviewed Jerry to stay on, and he raised the ante quite a bit. They had a man in West Point who could do his job. So Jerry was out.
Went to work for a contractor friend just more or less wearing out a pickup and drinking coffee with the foreman on various jobs.

The plant was old, and had been added on to and built above and behind several times. Back then; need juice in a new weiner room, knock a hole in the wall and hook on back up in there someplace. It worked and was adequate; but no diagrams were made, the guy's just knew what pulled from where.
Time passes
Jerry is out at a site having coffee with that crew. A car drives up, man steps out and asks to speak with Jerry privately. Jerry goes to car. Man wants to know if he will come back. The amount he asked for is now doable. Jerry says no, be $200.00 more now. Man says fine, will you go back with me now and I will bring you back, we need to know where a wire in the freezer comes from.

 

I appreciate the offer, Dale, but I see no good reason to encourage her behavior.
