I remember being told if you hung a power line or for some reason one was down on your rig,. Either stay in still till linemen cleared; or LEAP COMPLETELY CLEAR, making no connection truck to ground with body. I assume same with lightning. Can't tell when it will strike.

So the neck/deck etc. can handle the weight if you can pick it up? What does strap it mean, modify to increase deck capacity? Seems like that could catch up with a guy eventually. That was a jaw crusher wasn't it? I wonder how easy to just pull the jaw or some other component off to haul it. That would require a crane or large excavator on both ends though.

Really sounds like they would be ahead to put a day cab tractor on it and get a 9 axle and stay under 75K tare. Interesting that they want to hire it out.

    Opportunity!

Well. Technically no the trailer isn’t rated for it. The trailer is rated for 55 ton in 10’. But seeing how the crusher has a foot print of 18-20. The trailer handled it fine. Just needs a third cylinder to help pick it up. Strapping is when you flip the trailer over and weld flat bar down the whole length of the beams. It does increase capacity. Loading something like that everyday would trash my trailer within 2 years.

Tearing down the machine is exactly what they need to do. They have a few 500 sanys and 349’s and a couple 374’s. They want to be able to ship them whole. Yes! Even the 374. I just simply said good luck with that because I’m not moving it whole.

At some point it becomes cheaper and faster to strip a machine than it is to ship it complete

Really hate this late start. But driver needed a clean hot shower. They were not available last night. 6 people in line for an hour. Then 4 for another hour. And one person was in a shower for over 1.5 hours. Must have been soaking their balls in toilet water. lol. Don’t put it past someone out here. We all know it’s a possibility.
