The 742 is real finicky. If you don’t keep it oiled good it will stove pipe every 3rd round for some reason

 

Took me a long time to really appreciate this song. Now it’s probably one of my favorites

Have you tried different ammo, or ammo not bought at a box store? If so, sounds like the extractor or ejector needs some massaging.

 

Clappers was right up the street from me. One of my aunt and uncles ran it for several years. It closed awhile back, not sure why. Building is gone now. I ate there one (1) time in 2001.

edit. Mom said it closed about 2012. There had been a fire next door and building was old and falling apart. So they tore it down

 

I came upon this unit while driving down Hwy 61 today, thought I saw a gator in a camp yard and backed up. I had to think about it a minit before i got out of the truck. I would not engage this creature on the ground with any kind of 22. Magnum or centerfire. That thing is absolutely huge!! I got a decent video of it walking back into the bush.

 

Pretty sure I would have stayed in the truck. That’s a whopper
