Thats fine, we can pass the same lame judgement on anything you eat as well. Tho in our family, if some one tells us it is sweet and delicious. We avoid being uncouth about some one trying to be nice and share where you will find a alternative. Yup I could have been very rude about what your supposed bread looks like. But I wont stoop to that level. My parents raised me to be polite. So I will leave it at that.

    Well fellers here she is....

    2016 pete 386

Ive signed onto DSV transport out of missoula, montana. Going thru their lease program. Good sized company about 300 drivers. Only owner operators and lease operator , no company drivers.... I never wouldve thought i would go thru a lease program, ive been saving up to buy my own truck but the terms of the lease seem pretty reasonable, and i will use the money i been saving to help out with maintenance on this truck....

I get paid 75% of gross
    Company takes 25% off top.

Truck payment is not a fixed payment.
I pay all the expenses including paying myself (30% of the 75% cut), whatever is left over at the end of the month after all expenses is what the truck payment is. No balloon payment at the end of the lease.

Supposedly they have given the title to 30-40 drivers this year and over 60 last year.

Company has in house dispatchers, and agents and brokers scattered all over the country for me to use as well as i can pick loads off any load board.

Company runs stepdecks and flats. Me im getting a flatbed.

It seems like reasonable and fair terms for a lease. Especially comparing to other companies programs . definatly going to be a bit of a learning curve at first. Have to get out of the mindset of a company driver.

Im definatly stressed and nervous, but at the same time ready to get going and make some money.. Orientation supposed to last 2 more days then im out on the road.....

Wish me luck, i will need every bit i can get lol

The "craziest" thing I have heard and seen... that came in a can...:rolleyes:
Back in the summer of 1987 in Rio, thousands of cans came ashore on the beaches... and they were full of....
pot... yes... A total of 22 tons of marijuana in cans were found on Rio beaches.... It was a summer to remember in Rio... :yes2557:

That was known as "The Can Summer".. and became history... became songs, t-shirts, etc, etc...
And I heard that was BEST QUALITY marijuana... sold all over Rio and other states for a loooong time...

Maybe some one will hold the camera and take a picture of you standing by your new wheels? Sounds like you got a good deal. I hope it works out well for you and that the truck was well maintained. I look forward to your future posts.

Are they still operating as DSV or Sammons? I know they got bought out a few years ago but someone told me they pretty much still operate as Sammons.

Sorry... the picture you posted looked like spam.... I saw it quickly and misunderstood... thought it was spam... even though you were calling it "bread".... :biggrin_2552: My bad... :biggrin_1square1: I find spam really disgusting... not the bread...
Now that I went back and saw the picture closely, found it interesting... really bread in a can....
And yeah.. folks make fun of what I eat sometimes.. and I just ignore... don't even waste time with that...
Hope you accept my apologies.. and I'm glad you didn't get mad at me... I make mistakes sometimes...
