Sharks don’t pee….they convert their waste into “oil”, that is then stored in the flesh to provide buoyancy.

 

Urine conversion to Urea. A very unusual animal. I've caught a few Sand & Blue Sharks. The skin & teeth were incredible. A true apex predator of the Ocean.

 

The “oil” is a misnomer. Kinda hard to describe that process to someone, so it’s a short cut answer.
Shark are quite amazing in some ways. The urea conversion and how the adaptability of that to the surrounding environment is quite interesting. The skin is another interesting aspect. The different texturing. Very low turbulence along the surface, also helps make them very quiet. Two subjects that have been studied for years.
