Yep, pitboss pellets from The Mart that is Wal are good and cheap and don’t have a crapton of sawdust in the bag like the Treager pellets do.

 

Used the “Pit Boss” brand product for a while. Never tried the traeger brand, have a neighbor that swears by them. They are quite expensive. Looked at the ones he has, can’t seem to find them any different or better than the others.
Tend to go with Bear Mountain branded product. The “Gourmet Blend” seems to be about the same as the Pit Boss competition blend. Tend to go with a lot of the single species ones, then blend what I want.
Try chicken with 100 percent apple. That is some tasty bird.

 

Think it has a lot to do with how the bags are handled also. If the bag looks a bit beaten, not buying it.
