Been a few Viet Minh convoys going south met with US Planes headed north... Courtesy of some rascals way off DF'ing the unit radio and transmitting the coordinates across the South China Sea. Radio and op usually in same vehicle as unit commander. A twofer lots of time, and the whole unit if road was straight. Made satisfying after action pics. 61-62, before the war...
Comparison.. Pre runner of the tech sitting in a blockhouse in Nevada viewing a video screen, tooling his drone along to the target. Times have changed.
