Due to excessive heat and excessive HIDES I didn't stop at the Iowa 80 OR Grandma's.

I picked up some cold chicken tenders (supposed to be cold) from the Kwik Star when I stopped for fuel. Filled my thermos with their Kona Dark Roast for tomorrow morning.

Up the street from the tank wash there's a Tractor Supply, so I went and got some supplies.

The problem with TSC is I can never get outta there without an impulse purchase or two, and this time it was a pair of extended range needle nose pliers (I needed a pair a couple weeks ago during a minor mechanical conflict), and a bag of the peanut candy bites. I wish I hadn't seen them, 'cause they're gooood.....next time I go I'm gonna be looking for them, darn it.

So I ate my chicken and I'm down to just a pair of shorts, lounging in the sleeper with the a/c on full blast.

Guess I'll call Missus Skillet, and put today in the books.......0800 loadout tomorrow, then back "East with the Yeast".

    Later gators!

Damx, first glance I took it to be a close up of a swizzle stick.

They're short, narrow & stiff. The skis are a men's world cup fis slalom. The ones used at Olympics & world class ski races. In other words hand built by Germans. $1300.00. A lot of ski for an old guy. :D

$289 with the military veterans discount— and I don’t have to worry about a yard sale on the mountain unless… never mind

Sorry. I’ll try again. Went to ear doc three (3) months ago. Cute doc said I had hearing loss. That’s what’s causing tinnitus she says. Hearing aids will likely help she says. I said no I’m not ready for that yet. So.
went for follow up and told her the tinnitus wasn’t too bad usually so I’m gonna hold off on the hearing aids.
I never axed her how much the hearing aids cost.

I have a question. I have a set of ancient 7x35 binoculars. They were dads. What power do I need to see stuff at a distance of say 1/8 of a mile ? I googled but it’s confusing.
