    We stopped for an indigenous 30. They had fresh pizza with tons of sauce and jalapenos, so The OM authorized a slice.

    Now we're pressing onward into The unprecedented SAVAGE TEXAS WILDERNESS.

    I think he did not act alone and was put up to it.

    He would be "taking it for the team" so to say.... which is motivation to keep the team away from parents and extended family.

    Apparently it was 116F yesterday at The Casa Del OM.

    114F today.

    The OM and I are doing our part to help the children, and not running the AC.

    The one thing I always wondered about was stabbing. There are people; who could have pulled that as it laid out, but would have cut throats'.
    Stabbing hurts; causes reaction, and you might hit a deflecting rib. Throats cut, silence and definite death.

    This whole thing just never passed the smell test. I agree with you that it was not a lone activity. The portion of the plea deal that does not require him to tell the families what happened is a protective measure to the others involved. Plus it keeps the families from knowing their little girls were hip deep into some serious crap with some serious people. Suspect he is in fact talking one for the team. He and his family will probably live out the rest of their lives in moderately quiet and comfortable conditions.
