I think the one in Athens my daughter and I ate at was just open, new place, new help and inexperienced direct management.
May be better now. Ones I refer to were full range menus, well prepared and heaping quantities of the items. Been feeding people.
But like Haines City, FL to Grand Forks, ND. You could tell when you hit Iowa by the porkchops..... Food got better at the GA/AL line and progressively on up...

It is the fact that Jesse Jewell (A man who could have taught the Tysons how to do business) sponsored chickens in a big way up in N. Georgia. Seems as if some SC thieves stole or the coops come open and chickens escaped up into SC. Prolly first ever seen and really embraced the poultry trend.. We raised chickens in my youth, broilers. I do not like chicken. A friend who raised catfish in his youth it the same about catfish. We will eat, but it is the last preference.....

I think Georgia still has more chicken farms. We probably have them beat on turkeys though.

TX-NM-AZ, only the state line signs ever told me where I was. Sparsely settled/developed back in 56/57...

All I remember is: Send v'ss QSV, and what is my signal strength: QSA IMI ...
I blessedly failed the Morse code test in Army due to jumping from bottom of column 2 to start of column 4. then saving the last back as column 3.
Got an unsatisfactory, tho the code was right, just in wrong column. Since I was so inept, they put me in charge of 36 MOS 058 ops assigning them what to copy. Army does not waste talent, just misuses it.
