That was my dad’s logic with the mechanic’s uniforms he always wore to work. I tried that when I was doing construction work. My coworkers all thought I was nuts.
Seems to me though what you’re wearing has to be made of cotton for that to work. Dickies uniforms have some polyester.

Definitely needs some AR-500, but I’m not sure anything you’d use for that would stop a .50 BMG.
Depleted uranium is too soft. That’s better for anti-personnel. For shooting at Killdozer you want tungsten carbide.
