Before they left for home this morning, I was speaking with my son-in-law. This man is a Lt Col in the US Army with close to 18 years in. During those 15 years, 90% of that time has been in Airborne. He told me that a 300-yard shot is not easy for just anybody to accomplish, and to make a "kill" shot. He does not believe some kid did it. I can only speak for myself, but right now, I do not trust any of the Federal Alphabet agencies. I don't believe they have been fully truthful concerning Butler Pa or what happened to Whitey Bulger and Jeffrey Epstein. I still think a lot of what happened in Waco and Ruby Ridge has been hidden. Heck, I don't think they have been fully forthcoming with regard to Dallas in 1963.

Gosh, I can't believe I am making this comment. What a lot of people don't understand is that Presidents come and go. BOTH political parties. The basic management of these Federal Agencies stays the same. Congress has given so much authority away to these agencies that, for all intents and purposes, they are semi-autonomous from the White House. Any of you truckers who have dealt with the FMCSA should already know this.

Any of you who believe the news coming out about the case in Utah, listen up! I have some bridges in NY that are for sale!

200 yards. K98 mauser can do it. He might have had an optic on it. Not saying it's easy.

About 12 years ago, the other half (who up to that point had only shot a .22) took my .06 and AH’d a speed goat at around 300yds on the move— not moving fast, but it was on the move—- it’s not that hard— what’s hard is right after the bullet is released

To be fair, the son-in-law also spoke about things like staying calm, etc. He told me stories about troopers having problems with long shots because they were wired. There is more to this than just pulling a trigger.

Cascadia life. So the left lane is stopped. They aee trying to get into the right lane, which isnt moving. So both sides of the on ramp are stopped and no one has moved in 50 minutes. Rendering the exit and highway useless. 20250913_071239.jpg

    Oh its gets better.

My point is if you haven’t ever seen the business end of a bullet and what it does, the mechanics of a rifle shot are simple and fairly easy to master— I have had kids 8 years old out shoot me at targets— don’t know what the kids background is, but it could be that was the first time he ever looked down the barrel at something alive

I think we are saying the same thing, but coming from different ways. Son-in-law was clear that 300* yard shot was possible, but everything had to be right. It starts with controlling your breathing. Getting in a good shooting position and, above all, staying calm. Unless that kid is a sociopath, he can't just calm down with a live target in the viewfinder. Also, the chances of being seen and fired upon are an issue for him.

Son-in-law looked at me and said Dad, "I just don't believe, based on what I know now, that this kid made that shot."

*I see there is a dispute about the distance, so I quoted what he said.

    I can believe that.

I’ve been to bowling pin shoots where I’ll take down the first row without a miss, then I start dropping off.
