Grampa always kept Hires Root Beer on hand. I liked it fine.

I tried Barqs years later. I like the "bite" it has.

 

Oakland has consistently been a crap hole, very Chicago-esq. Guess they are going soft though if a crew out of Stockton tried to pull that off. Maybe the drug traffickers have Stockton too locked down so they are trying their craft in Oakland? Either way a crew from Oakland will most likely be taking a road trip to Stockton soon.

An interesting follow up story on that one...... They are charging the 2 living robbers with the murder of their comrades under the provocative act theory.

The "bite" mentioned for Barqs is for the Caffine not the flavor. Most root-beer does not have caffeine added, they may be the only major brand that does.
