yeah, that's way too much. when those were new, Harley's were expensive, supply was lower, and they often sold for more than MSRP. the HD market just isn't the same as it was in the 90's. there's a million low mileage garage queens for sale out there. you can find a low mile '07-'10 for that price.

 

they are great for racking up miles. set the cruise and ride for hours in comfort.

 

I had an 01 Electra Glide Classic for 4 yrs. Lowered, 21" chrome spoke front wheel with a thin whitewall, cut down windshield, bunch of chrome. Traded it for a CJ7 2yrs ago. I had motorcycles for 18yrs and I strangely dont miss having one. Shouldn't habe sold the CJ7 though.

 

either you get it, or you don't. no one is forcing anyone to tour on a motorcycle...except maybe that guy with the pizzed off old lady. there is no need or requirement to be cold and wet.
