Actually did have some mix boards. 8 and 16 channels. And yep, did have some microphones.
At one time, a total of 5 turntables, 2 8 inch and 2 10 inch reel tape machines, two cassette machines.
Making mix tapes in the 70’s……

We used to use (I think) chlorine.......dry stuff. It was called a 'hot mix' and boy, it was hot

 

I was outside late last night with a hair dryer, got just warm enough to not be snow got out of work again. Didn’t have enough extension cord to warm it up everywhere though, sorry eh
One of the advantages to living on an island, water all around us keeps it just a tiny bit warmer
