What if it Snows?

I’m putting that quote on my mental bulletin board! That fits renovations so well, fixing the symptom doesn’t fix the problem

 

Had an honest to goodness “mancold” the last few days. Don’t get sick often, had that good 102 fever on the go. Yuck!

 

The nightmarish landscape of WHFIC has been traversed. I got out just in time as a convoy of tour buses loaded with desperate cousins disembarked.
Sustenance has been summoned

I got a box of pancake mix. I'm gonna make an attempt at cinnamon pancakes.
There was a place in Austin years ago called Owen's that made awesome cinnamon pancakes. They tore it down and built a Chilis where it was at.

 

Don’t play around with box mix, pancakes are pretty simple, 2 cups flour, teaspoon salt, tablespoon sugar, tablespoon baking powder. Separate bowl two cups milk, one egg, two tablespoons melted butter, some artificial vanilla. Then combine.The key part is a low to medium heat on the burner. Let your first pancake be a sacrificial one to get the temperature right. Only flip it once it makes bubbles on top. If you are careful you can peek underneath by lifting the edge. Practice makes perfect with them.
Once you get the hang of it you can bang them out pretty easily
If you want to add cinnamon add it to the dry at the beginning. Can also add fruit, chocolate chips. Frozen blueberries work great as well
