What if it Snows?

Definitely! I cut with boards overhanging across my foot. It’s safe and quick, the off cut falls away and doesn’t bind….but cutting downwards with the saw can lead to the cord finding its way into that spinning blade from time to time

 

It needed replaced anyway but didn't really want to do that mid project.

 

Did that awhile back with an electric hedge trimmer. Cut the extension cord in two. Oops

 

I normally pay closer attention and keep the cord close to me.

 

It's patched up for now (home tool) but a new one is on the way.

 

Have put them together with an outlet box and added two plugs. Let me run the jigsaw for finishing stringer cuts without changing the plug
