What if it Snows?

Fellows; In my lifetime, I have gone to difficult places to pick up persons in all sorts of distress. Some self administered, some administered to them by others.
I always answered the call and helped as needed and I was able too. Many turned out well and were beneficial to them and my conscience.

But somewhere in there, I understood that there are people you cannot "help" ? It is fix this time, repeat, fix again. They will not stay fixed, even patched.
So now I refine my sympathy and money to causes that have proven to produce., My church, Salvation Army (local lodge), and personal to people I become aware of thru trusted friends. You can't fix some traits in human beings.

 

It falls under "you can't fix stupid"

Have lost two coworkers over the years to their addictions, they were fundamentally good folks who got into some #### way too deep. You can do lots to help, but at the end of the day, you can’t quit it for them.
Even went as far as getting one guy hooked up cause I knew he was holding and could dry him out in the stir. He cursed me up and down. To be clear I am not a “get the law” kind of person, but kinda ran out of options with this fella.
Was one of three people at his funeral 16 months later

 

Which is kinda where we're at right now.
