Ive had several trips where ive gone from hot sun in the morning into winter storm chain like conditions and a few hours later back down to something like a spring time weather by dinner. It's mind bending.

We remember one particular day where we crossed the Eastern Sierras into California near Redding (I-5 and east into Nevada from that part of the state) running through the woods. In this case came out of the Nevada Desert NW of Las Vegas where is just rocks and 98 degrees up into the Sierras where big pine trees covered in feet of snow. And it was a winter wonderland up there. By the time we dropped over the pass and down to meet I-5 south of Redding on these little two lane roads we were back to late summer conditions. A couple of truckers asked us where did we hit snow due to the mess on our rig which had ice and so on hanging off the sides and dirty tractor drives and so on. Blue beacon took care of that in time.

My guess is 3 days in a row. Same as if you didn't take a full 10 hour break, or drove past the 11 or 14.

FMSCA HOS rules are not optional. If the company allows a driver to habitually violate the HOS, then their liability grows exponentially.

Not saying I agree with the HOS, or the way they are enforced, just this is the world we currently live in.

I shut down early because I couldn't make it all the way to my delivery without a second half hour break. If I took the half hour, then I would arrive 15 minutes after they stop receiving. Even if they took me, I would be under the gun trying to get to S/L. So Inwas done for the day. Took a shower, came back to the truck and made dinner without looking at my watch. Read a little and started dozing off (interesting book, but dense) so I figured I would just go to bed before realizing it was only 1830. If I went to be then I would be wide awake at 0200 so I took a walk in the freezing rain. Its now 2045 and I am wide awake.

All this because my drives spun while sliding my tandems.

Maybe a hard brake lowered the overall supply and caused the u joint to release. Check the film to isolate exact occurrence. Technology don't lie.... Just saying.

Chairman Mao once proclaimed that the United States could never be invaded by land troops.
The Party Generals questioned his statement...
His answer: There is a gun behind every blade of grass a there.
Ole Mao was on to something, even back then.

    Is Wendys now considered food?

I know it's better than some options but to call it food is kinda misleading.

Their chili isn't horrible. And they don't put rice or macaroni in it.
