I have a question. Tge liberry has an old water fountain that hasn't worked in many years. Liberrian lady wants it removed. She axed me if I could do it. I said Probly.
It's like this
The wall should look like this once it's removed.
How much would any of youse charge to do it ? I'm thinking about one hundred (100) bux. No negative waves please.JolliRoger, homeskillet, Carpenter Scotty and 10 others Thank this. -

This is the kind of project that could end up becoming a real project.
Three things to consider
Water had to get to it at some point. Old water line and fittings
If it was a cooler style, power would be required. Old electrical stuff.
Water got into it, some had to go out of it. Old plumbing drain line.Last edited: Apr 16, 2026

Right. The supply valve is right underneath the fountain. And the drain is in there somewhere. I'll show her that picture of the removed fountain and axe her how pretty she wants it to end up. She said she's tried to get a couple different people to remove it but no joy.JolliRoger, homeskillet, Carpenter Scotty and 8 others Thank this.

Two fiddy. Moar if she wants the wall patched.
You'll need to cap off that drain, or it will let sewer gas in. No one will be pleased.JolliRoger, homeskillet, Carpenter Scotty and 10 others Thank this. -
Can you sweat on copper fittings? The foundation should only take maybe 5 minutes to remove— the rest of the job could very easily turn into a multi day event with numerous parts runs — $100 is to cheap especially if she wants a finished wallJolliRoger, Feedman, homeskillet and 11 others Thank this.
