I used to have a device in the shop, (One slot crimper) where you fitted your wire into the end, put it in a Bf.ng vise and squeezed it crimped. Formed round with one indented position.
You want to solder? Place the fitting in a vice, opening up. Heat with a torch and feed solder till half full. Slowly insert skinned wire in andh old a minute. Then let alone for 15 minutes to cool. Excellent conductivity but less strain relief.
