    They are real. But things sure don't happen fast over there at the FMCSA. They issued a formal notice of proposed rulemaking in August. They opened a comment period until October. And now we are waiting. With the recent change at the top of the FMCSA, who knows.

    I think that article said all the extra drug tests are going to cost companies like $60 million or some such figure. So much for the administrative saving from pushing all the people out that used to proof read the paper logs.

    The smaller fleets aren't going to shoulder the big extra cost of all the tests. For someone like Schneider, that's an extra 2,000 tests a month. That's a hit.
