Once again lets review the two types of motorcycle riders-

    A) The ones that have crashed.

    B) The ones that are going to crash.

That's a horrible dichotomy ... but probably true.

    Here’s one that’s a bit more accurate.

You have old riders, and bold rides. You have very few of both.

People react to death in various ways. For some its a burning scar that may never heal deep inside who they are. All you can do is give thanks for a new day given to you and do what you need to do. All of our days have a Number.

I had a friend a dear friend who lost his brother when he timed a turn really badly in a small car and a big rig's trailer tandems ground over him flat and gore. My friend had to hose out the blood and other things. It took him about 15 years to heal and even today I think he has not really healed from a brother lost. I had helped him through it for a while just being around and doing what little I can. Mostly keeping quiet and let him talk it out. And no we never found out what happened to that driver who was the one with the right of way that horrible day.

I lost another friend who was smashed by a drunk at 16 and left lying in the road in pieces until death in about 20 minutes. This particular person I would call a bright star. He had a positive influence on all of us even me. Lets just say we did find the drunk at some point. Hes rotting in jail. Even today I would feel the loss of what might have been if that boy had grown. He had a whole life ahead of him. There are many children, but only a few really bright ones.

And that makes it difficult when they pass on. If anyone wondered why we did not get him to trauma fast by air lift its about 15 minute flight for the MSP to get to him and its over at that point.

As long you carry their memories and celebrate them. They never die or be forgotten.

I'd be in the 'A' category. However, it wasn't awful.
I was riding my bike to my dad's house because I felt like I was too drunk to drive.
Right at the driveway I cut it a little too short.

    But that's all

@x1Heavy one of the better posts you have put up. It's a ugly situation with no easy answer but I just want my brother in a red shirt to know they like @MACK E-6 said..if he needs a shoulder to cry on.... somewhere to ##### and rant about all the non driving tools out there or just a buddy to play bikes and beer with..,..I'm there.....only a phone call or text away. I can't begin to put myself in those shoes because I've never been there and I pray that myself or any of you guys will have to deal with it but I like I said earlier I've worked with two guys in a similar situation before and it seems to be something that stays with you. Like @MACK E-6 said....all I can do is be there for him in whatever way he needs me and I am. I said it in the other thread and I'll say it here. Guy on the bike...play stupid games...win stupid prizes. My man pulling that red box has a family to feed.... pulling that red box that the ### hole who needed a stupid prize decided to run under.

I consider myself a lil from column A and column B. Grew up in a 1% household so I've been quite the jerk.... But I grew up around bikes so I've learned that everyone is trying to kill me.

Kraken rum, amphetamines, and the need to fit in brought me to #2 on your list. Not gonna try to sugar-coat it here. I decided to make horrible decisions and got what came along with those decisions.

Been a long day with the family. Went and saw the grandkids and had a second Christmas. Gave the stepson and his wife $100 each.

The precocious twins are a good 6 inches taller.
On the way down there. Everyone was doing about 50 mph on the questionable roads. Except for this four wheeler that blew everyones doors off like we were standing still. 5 miles down the road he lost it and went end for end. Doubt he learned anything.
