Thank you for the report! Sounds as bad as I feared.
    I’m at Bosselmans. Exit 312.
Hoping tomorrow morning might be ok?

I just checked. Yup they closed at exit 314. Right by me.
    So you’ve been playing Supertrucker?
I’m sitting this one out. Just don’t feel lucky on this one.

If they get the plows out... At MM 279 weatbound there were 3 trucks jack-knifed... 1 in the median, 1 right in the middle of the road blocking both lanes, and 1 on the off ramp blocking it.

Then there were literally dozens of other trucks and 4 wheelers in the ditch... It wouldnt be too bad for a guy used to driving in drifted snow and on ice... But with all the other idiots out there it made for a white knuckle drive at times. For once I was the guy passing everything in sight... But I had to be very choosy about where i made my passes, mostly because the drifts liked to grab ya and try to pull you off the road. Other places you could barely make out where the road was. But I was able to go about 40 to 45 most of the time, until I would catch up to a pack of 10 mph trucks and cars.

I’m pretty good on ice and snow drifts. Admit to lack of experience with same and trailer. B trucks are notoriously bad on ice, snow, slippery. It’s because the steers are too light.
I just don’t feel lucky on this one.
Thanks a bunch for the input.

I'm pretty sure it still holds the low altitude speed record.

Netherlands doesn't want to be known as Holland anymore.

They say Holland is too synonymous with drug culture and other low life things.

So what is California's new name going to be?

We had a oppertunity one time down home in Maryland to sit on two lowboys while the dozers went out and ran around the land we baby sit for them. I think the terms was show up at 6 am, load dozer by 7 at site by 8 and then sleep until days work is done at a rate for 12.00 a hour in approximately 16 hours. Since you are baby sitting and asleep you should never be later than 6 am next day at the truck. In 1990 dollars it would have grossed about 1200 dollars roughly or a bit more each week for 6 days for a season.

In those days we did not have cell phones so the first two lucky drivers who also got the word showed up first and were hired instantly. So we lost out. Those were the kind of jobs to retire from with a oppertunity to learn Dozer tracked work for two times the pay.
