My major retired pastime used to be close examination of street strewn disposals. Made some interesting selections of trade goods.
Amazing actually; that a pile might contain a disposed of device, and a week later and a block away be one that offers the missing/broken portion.
I mean, a lot of Murray mowers can be exactly the same under 2 or 3 different names. So, some wheels, belts, maybe a spindle could be scored. Once, a good engine off a rider whose gear box was bad. Kept that engine 2 seasons before could use.

But selling my house and the retirement home with limited shop space in the hall, now precludes such. Such is advanced ages limitations...
