Forget it I'm parked. Just ran north on 93 past Jackpot NV gusts hitting 50mph plus got 15k in the box made it to Twin falls and shut down. Could of sworn I saw Dorothy and Toto flying past.

Applied with a really good company today in Fontana, CA. Applications accepted in person only. Did the drive test, piss test, and put in an application for something similar to a TWIC card I had never heard of. Should find out early next week how it shakes out. Company drivers paid a percentage of revenue, good revenue.

Trying to figure out how to wear shorts and flip flops again when on home time.

I did. Moved back to CA to be with my wife, she just wouldn't go anywhere cold. Arrived back here a week ago, going through transferring the CDL, car registration, etc.

With the new gig I should be home every weekend, sometimes once during the week, and sometimes gone two weeks or more with plenty of days off for long run home time.

I must have missed the "Super Bloom" in the Mojave after the heavy rains, taking the back roads to Temecula. I heard that this year the desert was a veritable rainbow. I did see a fair amount of yellow flowers, but nothing like what was reported in the news last month.

The hills in SoCal are green, not the dull brown as I have known since locating here with my wife in '12. Wait a few months. It will brown up and become fire starter.

It flat out sucked today — one of the hardest winds we have had in the 12 years since I have lived around here.

One of the trips from Battle Mountain to Winnemucca I thought I was near tipping. I was near gross too, like 78K.

I knew I wasn't too far from going though.

Stopped by that Chevron where the defunct rest area is.

I mean how do you know where the actual blow over threshold is, until you're blown over?
