Any vehicle can go bad sitting too long. Ive been focused on cranking and feeding my doggie for a walk in this cold. Battery is not 12.6 on the meter anymore at engine start in morning, it's falling to about 11.4 which is just enough to get it to fire on the second crank.

ALL electrical drains traced and stopped years ago, particularly the underhood light (Which will kill a battery in time.)

Ima have to replace that battery AGAIN. Its disgusting to me. Be the third in 11 months.

I just got done having a slightly spirited @otherhalftw and @TruckrsWife type discussion with my misses.

I say there is absolutely NOTHING AT ALL wrong with sliced mozzarella cheese on sandwiches and by God I’ll eat it if I want to. :biggrin_25516:

I am not much of a cheese person, but a good meal with proper cheese done right goes very well indeed. Something to celebrate.

Good for you. Now can you tell my hubby how that works, that he's free to eat whatever he wants as long as I don't have to fix it?

That usually got fixed rather easily with wife, just get her something that she has been wanting or needing for sometime outside of the budget. The purring begins soon enough. HA...

Boy she took a bit of maintenance that one. But don't tell her that. It goes both ways. //sassy.

Freightliner has build date, and in service date. I recently got mine, it’s 20 yrs later, still on file. Per vin #.

All VINS are kept on file until vehicle is crushed. Then that vin is assigned a permanent "Death file" so it cannot ever be reused again.

Except my hubby is more likely to get an earful if he buys frivolous things we can't fit in the budget. So I don't think what works for you will work for him. Just saying....:D

I wouldn’t worry about a new vehicle sitting for a year, or so. It’s the old ones, they’re fine till they sit, for a while, Like arthritis, got to keep moving.
