Maryland came after me one year after I failed to turn in tags. They demanded one of two things happen. Tags or 9000 dollars fine. They got their tags. Then could not find title.

The State Poohbah in charge of western Maryland decided to go ahead and make a paper sale of the vehicle to the current tag holders for 9000 dollars. On paper. It was a no win scenario all the way around. That made a title possible to be issued to the new owners among other things.

They did ask me why did I not come in all these months? A whole YEAR? Sure. Trucking. I was running chain one direction and pipe the other for 6 months down on I-10 between houston and jacksonville. A pretty profitable situation that whole winter. In those days they thought truckers were somehow like hippies escaping from real jobs and responsibilities in life. However industry used alot of that pipe and chain. If they didnt have it to use then we would not be much of a America eh?

 

ITs already spring here regardless of whats coming next week. Probably one of those freezing spells that kills off everyt8ing green and blooming now. I hate it.

 

Me too! I need to know where they are playing to avoid it. LOL

 

BTW, I don't know if anyone has told you this but Oklahoma sucks. LOL
