    ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 5 AM MST MONDAY...


    * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Whiteout conditions at times due to combination of heavy snow...strong winds and blowing snow.


    * WHERE...Central Carbon County to include Rawlins and Sinclair.


    * WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to 5 AM MST Monday.


    * IMPACTS...Transportation may be severely impacted with snow covered roads...drifting snow and very poor visibility. Plan on slippery road conditions. Periods of blowing snow possible Sunday afternoon through early Sunday evening.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

    If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

    The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

    WHY-OH-MING is bad. Go to Colorado. Although clouds appear to be rolling into the mountains.

    I went by a sign on 70 in Utah that was flashing "Prepare for snow Sunday."

    So we prepared by covering about 650 yesterday, getting over Vail and down here.

    I'm hanging out at home have to head to Reno and back but not leaving yet. That's because CalTrans s being a ##### again with chain controls because it snowed 2 snowflakes.
