The carb shouldn’t be any big deal. If the engine is a 351 or 360, an Edelbrock 650 should make it run just fine. Those have no gaskets below the level of fuel intake so they won’t leak, and the screws are right on the front si they’re easy to tune up.

So I met up with my brother while I was here. He brought his wife and grandkids and we went to the Chinese place.

No it's a waxy/jelly substance. I drained the filter today on Sunday funday. Wiped out the bowl. I'm thinking a solar panel or two on the mid roof. 2 100 watt panels would be 15~ amps of trickle. Hope it doesn't burn the truck down.
Marshmallows???lovesthedrive, D.Tibbitt, WesternPlains and 1 other person Thank this. -

We used a holley 650 double pump on our 351 back in the day. Found that when it's wide open not enough voltage for the spark to keep up. MSD would have fixed that. With a automatic choke on her all we did is adjust the idle a teeny bit now and then if its cold. Its literally a giant screw on the side of the carb. Turn just a little bit until she settles down.RidgeRunner731, WesternPlains and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

This is a “Surprise” ?
Winter in WHY-Did-Go-This WAY-WHY-OH-MING.
This storm has blown out across the Wasatch front. Dropped a bit of precipitation, but the warm front behind it has started in and melted it all off.RidgeRunner731, InTooDeep, Cattleman84 and 2 others Thank this. -
You are lucky, up here by the beer, porn and fireworks stores we only hit around 22 and it kept falling. That said I am glad to mostly being on the West side of the state. I was talking to a plow driver while eating lunch a few days ago and I guess this winter will be in the record books for closures between Rawlins and Elk Mountain. It sounds like the winds came from an odd direction this year so the snow fences and snow capturing dirt work didn't do it's job.WesternPlains, Rocks and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
