Automatic 13 is an all right automatic

I quit working in June and took the summer off in Michigan and this winter off in florida with the intention of heading back to Michigan in 2 weeks .
My plan was to start ripping apart my truck and going through everything but the engine plus dropping 15-20 gs in it to get it ready to lease on with somebody in the Fall .
I've been watching the rates before this whole corona virus thing hit , questioning if it is Foolish to dump 20 grand in the truck plus another 5 into a headache rack, chains and tarps plus 5 into a base plate and pay the taxes and get the bobtail insurance going.
I was really looking forward to working on the truck all summer being I have barely had any time to play with it.
Right now i am better off camped down in Florida with the ex in her condo than going into Michigan with full Lockdown.
If I do get back to Michigan I'll probably just do a lot of labor on the truck and try not to dump too much money In it till I see what the fall brings.
Regardless it needs brakes and tires and that's 6 grand plus it could burn another 2 grand on little stuff before it is roadworthy in my book,
I'm leaning towards weathering the summer and trying to go back to driving for my old milk company if there openings in the fall.
The difference of me working at my old company for 50 cents a mile and what ever I would make out on my own starting in the winter months would have to be hefty for my to recover my 30 thousand I laid out for refurbishing .
Otherwise I will buckle down and head back to Florida with my tools and get a handymans liscence.
This economy is going to get ugly for a lot of businesses, and I think holding onto every bit of cash you can could save you or reap some rewards if we come out the other side of this.Last edited: Apr 1, 2020
