What if it Snows?

They are saying meat plants are losing workers who cannot stand not getting away from each other or told not to wear masks. Amazing considering they are chopping dead cattle day in and night out. It takes me about a 3 day wait for 550 custom boxes of center cut steaks to order bulk 49000 pounds to my trailer at either Fort Collins or Garden City. Once loaded they want it yesterday. Thats what the three day wait is for. Rest up and sleep until you are puking from too much sleep. You are about to run either 1500 miles or 2000 miles straight through.

One time I was about 4 miles from Sacremento. A HUGE grocery place with hundreds of docks and more than that in trucks surrounding the place. They actually got on that CB radio and said, WHERE IS MY MEAT TRUCK? (Keep in mind dispatch was incessantly texting on my qualcomm the last 2 hours....)

I got on the radio at 3 miles and closing and chirped, yep Dowdy Meat here for ya. what dock?

Number 9 through the gate don;'t stop.

Man the trash talking I got that morning was well... thick skin did not count. Some of it hurt.

Aww lookie here boys there goes princess meat boy.... and downhill from there.

I was empty in 40 minutes, boxes on the floor too. 550 of them. I did not have to get out of the truck.

 

I might benefit from one of those.

 

yeah an inside source at FFE has told me right now they're not hiring/school is temp closed. Due to this COVID-19 BS. So I dunno where I am gonna end up depending on this crap. I mean hard to get a CDL training from more than 6' away

 

Wendys refused to take my order today over the phone and told me to go through the drive through. Granted I was bobtail, but still. The lady told me they aren't allowed to take any over the phone orders and no one is allowed to walk food outside.

I had to get a tire changed today and my door wouldn't stay open without a wire holding it back.
That's as much excitement as I can stand for a day. And was not permanently scarred in the process.

 

Half of a T-bone? I know things are slim at the grocery stores, but how massive was it to begin with to only eat half?
