I still have one too. And also a full face respirator. Maybe I'll put it on with my chem suit and go to Walmart in the morning.

The air release doesn't do anything to keep the king pin locked. Even if the handle doesn't come out, odds are it released just a little. If you hit the switch, make sure you completly uncouple and recouple before driving.
If you hold the button for a 3 count after the warning message pops up, its more reliable.
Make sure you releave all the pressure on the jaws before you hit the button.Sirscrapntruckalot, 650cat425, Deere hunter and 4 others Thank this. -

But I have been blessed so far... never had an accident... or any incident like that...
Reminds me when I teamed with a guy from Cuba in my second company... it was company's truck but it was assigned to him... However, he got mad with dispatcher and told him to F off... then, parked the truck on a strip mall near a car rental place... took his things, including his little refrigerator out of the truck... I still can't figure how he was able to fit that inside a 4 door vehicle... And he drove away... and I drove the truck back to company's terminal and that became "my" assigned truck... One of the best I ever drove... It wasn't governed... a few in the company knew that...Last edited: Apr 3, 2020
