What if it Snows?

Since y'all were talkin rates, last week was a bad week for me with breaking down so I only got 4 runs in. Sweetwater Tx to Weslaco Tx, dh to Laredo. Laredo to Brownwood, Tx, dh to Sweetwater Tx to Lewisville, Tx.

Truck grossed about $3600. Maybe $600 in fuel, Id have to look at my exact #'s.

 

Yeah I have a feeling loads are gonna start getting tougher to find and the rates will suffer. At least till goods start moving again. Has me worried if I'll even be able to get my CDL training around 60 days from now. Schools are temp closing. Plus some megas are freezing new hires

 

What bearing does breaking down have on overall freight rates?

 

And you base this feeling on your many years in the field?

 

Did u have to wear a mask in laredo.?

 

Times have gotton so tough out here , there was a guy doing laundry in the toilet . I had to take a 2nd look to make sure i was seeing it right. 2 plastic bags filled with laundry and he was pulling clothes up n down in toilet bowl washing them . No report on if drugs were involved but i think u guys know how this one goes.

 

No. Just basing it on people not being out and buying. Basing on supply/demand. I could be utterly wrong. It's more just extrapulation. People not working or out of work. So only buying needs.

 

Which flavor of chollula do you use? I wrote down the recipe, but I can't make it too spicy or the young uns won't eat it.

 

That's not a virus thing. I've seen that for several months now. Same guys that sits at Coke for 14 hours waiting to get loaded.

Just another example of what everyone is up against, and what people are willing to do for a little bit of money.

 

I saw a guy jogging, with a mask on. No one else around anywhere. Along with a few Driving by themselves, wearing a mask. Masks are all the rage. I see how the return to work thing is going to look. Designer mask anyone? Saw a Trucker wearing a real scary Biker style mask, with black with neon green skull and crossbones. It complimented his normal costume well.
