Amem!! I relate to you... Absolutely... :yes2557:
I don't care if I die tomorrow... no at all... I don't have any family and my death wouldn't make any difference to anybody... :biggrin_25512:
I just hope I don't get in such a condition that I would depend on others to live and/or would have a miserable life... medical conditions, diseases and disabilities can change one's life completely... that also means lack of freedom... to go where you want, do what you want, the way you want, when you want it... that would be worse than dieing IMO.

This image brought me memories... Like this one... driving on the Extraterrestrial Highway in NV
Stopped for this endless line of cattle crossing the road... I was the only vehicle on the road for over 2 hrs... turned the engine off and enjoyed the view...

I'm sure it would make a difference to a few people here......

Just look how much they whine and complain when you don't check in regularly when in Brazil.

my uncle had the same frame of mind, he was a hard working farmer and seasonal trucker. was married for years until my aunt passed away in her late 40's from cancer. it was a long drawn out illness, the last few years she was totally dependent on others until it was time to go to the hospital and never return.

he farmed for another 15 years and sold everything to buy a golf course, it was his plan to retire and spend the rest of his days golfing. built a big house right on the course, and then came down with a muscular degenerative disease that all but stopped him from doing any physical activity. he never told any of us (family) he was in bad shape, one day decided he'd had enough and put a shotgun under his chin. in his letter he explained he didn't want anyone to have to ever wipe his ### for him.

I am sorry to hear that... that was a little too much "radical" to say the least... may his soul rest in peace...
