There is now a new dash cam. In my truck. It does not belong to me. It belongs to the company.

That's how I feel about that.

 

Funny thing about installing a new crankshaft. It fits alot better if you sit it in with gravity. As opposed to side loading it. Now if only the thrust shims would go in. Pictures tonight. On lunch break

It has the capability to show the driver. However that feature is disabled. I'll be double disabling it with a piece of tape as well.


Owner was against them, but supposedly the insurance discount is too big to ignore. I am 1 of 3 Guinea pigs being used to test them. One other driver has been here 30yrs and was the safety director for a # of yrs. I can't remember who the 3rd is, but he's been here a long time too. So it's nothing relating to me specifically.

 

They can help you a lot.
Had an idiot try to pull insurance fraud on me. Shooting his mouth off to the cops. Claiming he was there the whole time. Under his trailer. Yelling at me and honking his horn. Dash cam showed he wasn’t there when I pulled up to back in.
A real Einstein.
Also showed my innocence. On a bad ticket.

 

I have my own dash cam for #### like that. But this unit is tied into my eld, has set parameters that can instantly upload video to a server and be viewed by the IT guy or safety guy/owner.

I doubt I'll have any hassle from this based on my experience with this Co, but I won't count my chickens before they're hatched.
