Well there's a first time for everything... I had to have my temperature checked before I was allowed onto my receivers property... I had heard Wal-Mart DCs were doing this and I was a little apprehensive... But they just used a laser thermometer identical to the one I use for checking hub temps.

Watching from a distance it looks like they are putting a small pistol to everyones head before allowing them to enter... Lol

This #### just happened to me here in Cleburne. I'm at Texas Lime Co picking up bagged lime.

Had to get out at a gate, then the lady in the little security trailer asked me if I had been out of country in the last 14 days (I guess 15 is ok), if I have any cold/flu symptoms and then took my temp.

 

Hope none of you are in the Barstow area....they are getting clobbered. Tain at the radar SEVERE level. Winds have it going west....get out the pontoons and water wings!

 

Yup... wallyworld DC’s are doing that temp question thing.

Our loads seem to be varying a lot. Right now down. Gave me an early dry van home. Sandbagging into delivery time. Just so I don’t have to go back out to deliver.
Asked operations if ok to make 34 into a couple days. They said sure.
