I was told if I got insurance through Ooida, not only was it going to be $5100 more per year, I could not add another truck of my own for two years!!
But I could have two lease operators run for me from day one, IF they were at least 27 years old AND had 9 years OTR driving experience.

I has to make them hold the phone on that one.
I actually got my cdl the day after my 18th birthday over 20 years ago.
I could not leave the state until 21 in a truck, even though it’s all blacktop, and I could fly anywhere in the world at 18.
Most places wouldn’t hire back then due to insurance until 23-24.

So,that safely put me in trucks most people would think is a danger to anyone.
Ever had a rotten floorboard fall through to the saddle diesel tank while running 60, while pulling liquid?
And not turn over I should add.

The rest don’t care how many as long as you pay per truck & trailer, so I don’t know why they would stipulate such..nonsense

Have the three boys ... "boys", all in their 40's, heh heh heh ...coming over this weekend to do battle with toyon groups, clean up the low growing oaks and the ever fun poison oak...always a good time even tho I can't do much more than run my baby deere...but fire season and that pesky fire marshal don't change with cancer.
Have my pork roast tomato sauce already into it's 15th hour on the stove so we won't go hungry with all the work. The boys will do the cutting, I'll drag it to the burn pile, mama and Belle (grand daughter) will be handling the burn pile.

There was this lady that had a fireplace put in hers. Saw it on a trucking show.

She loved to read. So she had a faux fireplace installed that put out heat, so she could curl up and read by the fire

As roomy as that seems to be inside. I can see adding one of them 110 volt fake fire places. Lot of them look pretty real, too. So yeah you'd really have a home on wheels then.

I'm just amazingly underwhelmed by OOIDA.
