I can go one better. Consider this.

TWO trainers in a truck when one is supposed to train the other.

When I trained I'd hand guys a blank map of the U.S. and have them fill in the states.

Not one person ever got it correct. Fell asleep, and on two separate occasions had a guy go 250 miles or so the wrong way.

Once on a trip to CA, once WA. Both times in PA. It's like,"You understand west coast yes? Sign says 'West'? West. West. You'll run into the Pacific if you go too far.

Truck drivers want respect, right? They hate being thought of as dirty trashy humans, yet there is no...minimum requirements to personal presentation or critical thinking skills as a truck driver in most of these mega Co's.

What do YOU want in a driver? At minimum, motivated, a shred of common sense, and some respect for how they appear to others in public right?

Rarely are drivers respected. Especially in today's society.

This is why you're a better man than me. While I really enjoy helping new drivers and teaching them some of the things I've learned the hard way, I absolutely couldnt handle the stuff trainer's put up with.

Oh sure I can fill in a 50 state map. Only took me 40 years what I should have learned in 2nd grade.
