    @MACK E-6 I had a 15" Stilson on the end of the crank. With no bearing caps I was exerting enough force on that crank that it was willing to roll out of the valleys of the bearings. Since the stimulous has come throu. The shop now has plenty of degreaser to work on that crank. Using an old sock for a rag, Degreaser was applied to the sock. The sock was then liberally applied to all the bearing surfaces in a fashion similar to polishing boots when in the military.

    If that doesnt clean it I dont know what will.
