What if it Snows?

I know a man that had a mailbox of similar strength... He had a bad time of kids smashing his mailbox with baseball bats as they sped by in cars. So he got fed up with it and built a mailbox out of 1/4" plate steel, and a piece of 8" schedule 80 steel pipe for the post. He made it in such a fashion that the skin of a regular mailbox fit snuggly over the steel plate one.

With in the first week of putting it up he had the remains of 3 wooden bats and one very badly bent aluminum bat in his garage... I would have loved to be watching from the front porch as those kids discovered what happens when a bat contacts an immovable object at high speed... Lol

 

My calculator only goes up to 100,000. What’s a payment on 137k Truck?

 

Now there is a tractor. A little longish but I like it very much.

 

I remember one who did a similar mail box.

Teens beating on it ruined their aluminum bats. The door to mail was like 30 pounds pull.

Fast forward years later. Someone pipebombed it. It stayed intact. But the door came off more or less.

 

I think the senior vp of the company I work for has some connection with MHC Kenworth (I think his FIL was an owner). I know my company buys trucks from them exclusively. If you want, I can ask come Monday and get you some contact info. Might be able to get an even better deal off a referral?

 

Like literally going broke or he's doing really well and is upgrading?
