I hate it when that happens. First time chaining over Vail they lifted the chain law and I ended up driving 25 mph on wet pavement for a LOOONNNGG time until I found a place to safely pull over to take them off.
The chop house is gone. Replaced with a Fazolli's fast Italian. They also have a Popeye's. But 95% of the time I eat in the truck. It's how I keep weight off. Don't want to be over on the steers...
It's dropping to 24°F by tomorrow morning. I hope I get dispatched to an oil rig near Watonga tomorrow so I can put my mud eating Michellins to the test.
Worse, it's predicted to be a mix of snow and freezing rain. Welcome to Oklahoma. I'm sure after you leave the weather will improve rapidly.
####! The wind is pretty good from the north. I'm parked pointing east. I just watched a white egret trying to make headway in the wind. He started going sideways right at me. Didn't quite clear the top of my condo roof. WHAM! I looked out the passenger window to see he made a miraculous recovery to avoid the chain link fence and catch air before adorning the hood of a Peterbilt. Welcome to Oklahoma!
Oh I've no doubt. I forget where I was when the mix was real bad. I think the passes in Oregon, early in the thread.
