My 97 72inch bunk I bought 18 months ago for 15000 when things were still good.In todays market it might be worth 10-12
One owner small trucking company with all records. Million 175 on the n-14 that had the heads done at one million otherwise factory original , no hacked up stuff under hood or dash. Starts right up even in 20 degrees. Not a lick of smoke on startup or driving. 13 speed shifts well.
Interior is all there and nice except for front seats I replaced. Just a outdated bunk layout.
No leaks and drives straight even though it needs all new tires. Original paint shines.
Needs tires, shocks, brakes, cans, bags. u-joints air lines fifth wheel, shift tower rebuilt, belts, hoses, tail lights ,fluids minimum for me to work it. Looking at 10,000 in parts
Most of it is 23 years old not If but When they fail.
Ill pull the axles and inspect them and the bearings, ring and pinion, check for slop in the power divider.
Wasn't the truck and motor I was originally looking for but glad I found it.
Looks grew on me and now I think its one of the best looking full headroom cabs out there.
I know the Pete guys will pile on me but it has a kind of a 359 Look to the nose and cab.
Every other preemission truck I looked at had been Hacked up and were beat inside and .out.
I've got plans for it if I stick with this. It fits in the pole barn and I have the ability, tools and money.

I was 12 and running around with the cool teenagers at the Lake 1976
One of the Boys was the man and he always had his moms Baby , her 71 Cutlass 442 convertible. Thing
Was Gorgeous.
So they would go mailbox smashing down Lake Drive while sitting up on the back deck.
One and only time I am with them, I'm in the back seat and the man was up on deck.
He swings at a box with a metal bat while were doing about 40.
Bat ricochets off mailbox and smashes rear quarter hard, knocks out taillight, and rips him off the car. Knocked his 2 front teeth out and scarred up his pretty face pretty good along with lots of body road rash.
Blood everywhere on white interior getting him home than mom brought him to hospital.
Pretty boy had no front teeth or convertible for the rest of the summer,
I rode my bicycle down by the box the next day and checked it out.
It was a regular cheap mailbox outside with a cedar wrapped post that turned out to be metal post inside and a 1/4inch welded box inside.650cat425, Rideandrepair, WesternPlains and 3 others Thank this. -
That's a wee on the heavy side I'd say... I tare at 33,200 with full fuel, DEF, Reefer Fuel, full set of chains and other winter gear, tools, spare parts, 2 weeks of food & drink, and me... Thats with a 53' Wabash with a TK reefer unit. Our entire fleet (Volvos and Cacadias) tare within 300 of any other truck in the fleet... But we do run wide base wheels on tractor and trailer.
If I watch my fuel closely and it loaded correctly I can put 47k in the box.650cat425, Rideandrepair, Blu_Ogre and 5 others Thank this. -
I was thinking about him the other day. He gave me some really helpful hints, and some good advice when I started. He is a good one. I hope he sees this and he’s around and kickin’.Rocks, tommymonza, 650cat425 and 10 others Thank this.

I think I’m patient zero for a new strain of malaria. It mostly makes me want to eat cheeseburgers and tacos, and yell at idiot drivers.
There’s one far more sinister symptom that I’m presenting with... I can no longer deal with the social media “influencers”. I don’t care how hot she is, or how bendy she is in yoga poses. Their drivel is like the sound of a Swift drivers dot bumper running down the side of a tractor.
ugh.RidgeRunner731, Rcranch81, Zoltan1a and 13 others Thank this. -
That is not a new strain those symptoms will last for years. I’m speaking from experience.

We remember. But we or I rather have no update on him. Maybe someone knows.
Edit, earlier in thread was a update. Hopefully he gets all the loose ends tarped for this run before it's time.RidgeRunner731, Rocks, 650cat425 and 5 others Thank this. -
Have you read the collision mitigation manual?650cat425, Rideandrepair, D.Tibbitt and 6 others Thank this.
