My tahoe came from a dealer with a specific note attached to the bill of sale turned into the state. Essentially it is strictly as it sits. That bypasses the State Lemon Law.
I was happy to fix it and keep putting money into it to fix it some more as it suffered through winters.
And kept fixing it... and finding out what a fire risk it has become.
You can fix that too I reckon. But at some point you have to push away from the bar and get out of the saloon.
If I had been in Maryland with that thing, its simply not worth what it will cost to make it perfect for their inspection. Slap a 25 dollar Historic tag on it and bypass all that. As it sits.
What if it Snows?

White guy is jealous of his black friend size. So white guy ties a brick to his own (BLEEP). After a week he calls his black friend and tells him about the brick plan.
Black friend: "Is that making it bigger???"
White guy: "No, but its turning black."RidgeRunner731, WesternPlains, tommymonza and 7 others Thank this. -
We took that one to 96000 well traveled miles. To ride in it then was quite the experience because the frame was failing. And it kept adding noises that got scarier as time went by. Poor thing. How we loved it then.
Most of the autos I have had been rebuilt at least once. The buick we got rid of had a bad failing plastic accumulator valve that assigns pressure against the converter to go. Once thats bad its 1800 plus another 600 labor to replace it.
\
Only they made it out of plastic which will eventually fail. UGH. Designed to fail.
One friend installed a massive turbo 400 converter which I think had a stall Rating of 4000 rpm. The lope on his cams were so deep and long that you needed both feet to hold her in the parking spot until you got her out of the space.
Sometimes I wonder whatever happened to that monster. Whoa. There is one car in eveyrone's life that is a hellion and to ride that thing essentially beyond 150+ towards 200 with top end still to go on the RPM while the gas tank drained..... thats something you don't forget.
There were days it took 20 gallons in a few moments to empty before you reached redline.WesternPlains, dwells40, Rocks and 1 other person Thank this. -

My wife commented on my clothes looking raggedy. I’m going outside to dig in the dirt. Besides I said, haven’t you ever seen pictures from the Great Depression? This is how you’re supposed to dress during a depression.
