So construction slow down has finally hit me in the wallet. So me not liking sitting around I am poaching errr running different things. Heading to Phoenix next week twice from Sacramento been awhile. So is heading 5 to 210 to 10 the way to go and is the traffic down in Socal still lighter than normal? When I wasn't in a hurry used to run over to Reno then head south but these two times I have a schedule to keep. Just typing I have a schedule hurts haven't had a deadline for years lol. Thanks y'all

Either that way or 99 to 58 to 395 to 15 to 10.

I prefer 99 myself. The grapevine and that bit around LA will take YEARS off the life of your truck.

Yes. Think it's like 15 minutes difference.

    Excellent questions!

Actually it all ended up in there because when I was in Laredo back in March. I got loaded about 4pm. Had been off duty for 2hrs at that point, so I decided to do a reset and leave at about 1am to get to my delivery before they opened.

I got the truck washed and parked at the TA down there. Not 20min after I parked and had laid down, a dude knocked on my door. Like a dummy I looked out the window to see what he wanted, which was to polish my wheels & fuel tanks. I told him no thanks, I'm a co driver and I'm not paying out of pocket. He kept bugging me, "just the wheels, just the tanks. I'll make you a good deal". I finally had to tell him "look, without tellling you to F off, I don't want it done
    Have a good night".

He walked away pissed. And I think I'm about 95% sure he came back and stuck all that in my left side tank about 10:30 that night, because I swore I heard something, but didn't see anything.

That highway 5 is just so awful through there. I dread having to go that way.
