I engage the power divider often in winter. I frequently travel most of the day with it on if I run on Wyoming ice. This morning I had it engaged most of the 30 miles on I-40 and some of the time on the two lanes and all the time on dirt, sand, and mud.
No worries buddy i'll send some {sunlight} from down under up your way that should thaw things out pretty quick huh?
I don't know. I stayed within a 60 mile radius of OKC today. Mixed freezing rain and snow started the mayhem this morning.
This is why I'd rather run 10,000 miles of snow than a mile of freezing rain. Snow is manageable with experience; freezing rain is havoc from the sky.
Coasting is your friend. If it gets squirrelly on ice I have found that easing off the throttle and coasting is the best solution. Apply light throttle only as necessary. When I approach an icy bridge or change in road surface I accelerate slightly, then ease off and coast over the slick section. It's the same principle as trying to run across an ice rink in street shoes. It can be done, but you can't accelerate, stop, or change directions very well once you are on the ice. You get up to speed before you are on the ice and maintain momentum in a straight line as best as possible.
Ok. 1818 miles into the trip to AZ and I'm here. No snow today. Temp was 47F to 66F, getting warmer. Receiver not open, it is Sunday, so getting rent a car to go Phoenix. Be home to see my kitties today. Leaving truck here cause its like an hour and 50 minutes to the house. We get 2 hours PC, but that's cutting it too close. One snafu and my 34 would be blown. BUT What if it snows on the way back?
How’s my tree doing? And you shouldn’t rent a car, you should sit there and complain about elogs and how elogs won’t let you take a shower
Tree was ok. Should have stayed home a few more days and got an Otto watering system going instead of going to Washington. The e log thing makes no sense. If I was on paper, I'd save $100 on the car and a lot of work moving everything into the car then the truck. Plus the cab fare to and from the car rental. It's too far even for me. Like 7 miles each way.
