Just throwing out the random thoughts on the subject here.

The overnight shift is a bit rough at first. Start time is 1900.

Didn't realize how soft I had gotten administrating a truck as a door swinger. Cutting A bunch of security seals off of doors with bolt cutters is a workout.

The amount of standing up out of the chair (figuring about 100 times per night) was a bit taxing at first because the cab is less than 6 foot inside.

Knees were worked a bit with the number of trip from the walkway to the trailer and back. They want the door closed on al empties and they did not make the building so they could open theswing doors when docked.

Figuring out what the folks inside the Building need and how to get it done is a good challenge for me.

Conforming to the Hunt Corporate dictates is bothering me. An ELD in a Goat? WTF are they thinking? Or are they thinking?

It's working O.K. for now. but I can see I'll be over it about fall time.
The tain will be even more annoying then and frozen doors will be zero fun.

I have an actual "home" that I want to spend time at that I get to sleep in. The "home every day" part is good for that.

Pay is better than most Local work. and less seasonal....

    ---------

Then again I'm thinking about not even bothering to renew the CDL parts of the license this November to force myself out of trucking. Not really felling the "call of the road".

I read every single page but refused to comment. After driving a mixer truck I find such debates trivial. Otter loves to get a rise and go to sleep with a grin on his face. Lol.
It's why I relegate myself to all things that matter like fast food and Apu.
Little Caesars has a new pizza out called the Cheeser. Lol. It features pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, basil, more mozzarella on a toasted Asiago crust.
Man this thing is a 9.5 out of.10. Have to eat it hot.Seven bucks.
You see, I'm not here to argue, I'm here to share knowledge.

It's pushing midnight..... And I'm thinking about starting a skillet of diced up chicken seared then simmered in enchilada sauce for lunches for the week.

Just one more "issue" with the night schedule thing.......

    I take offense to this.

All I was simply trying to do was point out the Van Drivers are better people, better drivers and higher up on the evolutionary scale, and that flat bedders were nothing but dirty, sweaty, tarp monkeys who can’t write or form complete sentences.

Why would people get mad about that?

    :D

I’m rolling out. Gotta make Amarillo by morning.

Yes the cellulitis is because of the ulcers. At least I am no longer freezing and fever is gone.

Why would anyone subject themselves to spending half the day wet, getting up at a different time everyday in the middle of the night, to drive a big truck with square wheels?
